Vidit Gujrathi became a Grandmaster at the age of 18. He is the fourth Indian ever to have crossed the rating threshold of 2700 and is the youngest ever to do so. He won the 2008 World Youth Chess Championships in the U-14 category. He represented India at both the 2016 and 2018 Chess Olympiads and captained the gold-winning 2020 World Chess Olympiad team. He is currently the third-highest rated chess player in India.
